Valentines Day Celebration...

The month of February...The month of Love. Today is Valentines Day and cupid is going to be running in circles. I'm really not sure who created Valentines Days, but the local stores were no different than any average Christmas Eve day... Men and young men walking around aimlessly in the stores attempting to find the perfect gift. Not really knowing what to get for their wives, girlfriends or boyfriends. I feel that women have a better handle of purchasing things for their loved one, however, I could be wrong.

Anyway, the true theme of Valentines Day is all the same... Love.

This year, Valentines Day was an extra special day for Vignetting Photography. On this beautifully freezing day (-9 degrees F), Vignetting Photography had the honor of joining New River Community Church in presenting Love and Marriage ceremony. The church had a celebration of marriage by having three wonderful couples renew their vows. The three couples were married for many years (5, 40 and 50 years). As they looked at each other, it was truly evident that they loved each other as if they were getting married again for the very first time. It was beautiful to witness.

The pastor had expressed that marriage is a beautiful event and how God had allowed a man to marry his wonderful beautiful daughter. God created man from dirt and woman from a man's rib. God didn't use a part from our feet so that we can be above woman, but a rib from our side. The reason for our rib was that a woman could stand by our side. It could also be a reason why men love ribs so much. It was a wonderful translation and description of how man and woman are made for each other. I was honored to be part of a wonderful event.

I was able to find out how the  Valentines Day tradition had started. Enclosed is a link if you are interested.

Well, it is time to start getting ready for the coming year. Vignetting Photography is currently getting ready for our May wedding with Amanda and Nick. Their big day is coming up quick and preparation has certainly started. Well until next time, see you soon.

"Love Never Fails" Happy Valentines Day everyone.
