The cool breeze feels good against my skin. The sun is burning hot and in the distance I hear my children playing in the ocean. I can hear the waves of the ocean lap against the beach. I can also hear some seagulls circling in the distance trying to find some food. I am mentally in Puerto Rico enjoying the beach. I hear my wife say, “Time to get up” but my eyes are heavy and I can’t open them.
Once again she repeats herself, “Time to get up, how are you feeling?” The ocean noise is fades to a “Beep..Beep.. Beep” sound. I no longer feel the heat from the sun, but rather the heat from the blanket that is on me. The laughter I had heard was actually a nurse laughing with a colleague in the distance. I have been swept away from paradise to the present day… The hospital.
Fast forward to the next day after back surgery, here are the high points:
- Wake up in the Hospital with a view to the outside, certainly this isn’t the Hilton.
- “The numbness is gone doctor, thank you.”
- The wheelchair was taking too long, so I decide to walk downstairs to meet my family.
- Love the hospital grip socks, got 3 extra pairs
- Limp through the elevator
- Big smile from ear to ear when I saw my family
Thank you for all of my family and friends that had supported me. I truly appreciate everyone that prayed and helped my family and me during this turbulent time. Thank you once again.
Fast forward to today. The healing process is still slow but feeling so much better. But what do you do when you mind continues to race for new ideas. You start by writing the ideas down and then execute in trying to solve or implement them into your overall plan.
Vignetting Photography has gotten so much stronger and better. That we’ve created the “Top 10” list of items that we’ve added.
1. Vignetting Photography has incorporated a new Wedding Package that we call the “Small Love Package”. This package services 2.5 hours with 35-High Resolution Digital Jpeg files. The Small Love Wedding Package cost $499. Additional service time is available upon request at a rate of $200 per hour.
2. We have also incorporated a New Open Air Photo Booth. A great photo booth can be the life of a party adding spontaneity to the social dynamic and cleverly bringing out the funniest side in people. Compared to other smaller enclosed photo booths, the 9' backdrop easily fits large groups yet is perfect for composing romantic shots with couples. We have incorporated new props that range from clown wigs, glasses with mustache, jester caps, Viking helmets, masquerade masks and so much more. We have also included new software that will help the client take the photos. Our Photo booth service starts at $399 for 3 hours ($100 for each additional hour), with download pass to gain access of photos after the party.
3. We’ve also included a new Video Slideshows Video with music. Thanks to ProShow Producer we are now able to expand our product line and have beautiful video slideshows that allow music to play in the background. See some examples below. 4. Vignetting Photography was also able to create new Christmas Card Designs additionally we’ve expanded to include Hanukkah Cards. We will be updating our website shortly to show the new Christmas and Hanukkah Card designs.
5. The Vignetting Photography Magazine was also updated to capture the new pricing, updated contract that include guidelines for Social Media and new Ala Carte items. As you can see we also updated the cover design slightly.

8. By partnering with the new companies, we’ve also decided to join 17Hats to help manage our daily tasks for our clients. This software helps Vignetting Photography streamline our communication with our clients. The software allows us to incorporate online questionnaires, contracts signing, Lead management, marketing, and so much more. We have started to roll this out in the last couple of days. We are extremely excited with the new product thus far.
9. We are also happy to announce that ShootProof has recently updated their UI (User Interface). We at Vignetting Photography are so happy with the clean look and added features that ShootProof has newly incorporated. Our client will be able to label their photos to help create their photo albums or hide the photos they want private. The options are endless.
10. We are also happy to announce some new products such as new metal prints, canvas gallery wraps, magnets, buttons and iPhone photo case ( limited to iPhone 5/5s and 4/4s)
So what is next on the list… The ideas are endless and we are trying to fulfill all of the wonderful ideas that flow through my mind.
